OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

The softball team decided to support 23 children in OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD. Each player sponsored either a boy or girl and packed a "shoe box" full of gifts for children not as fortunate as we are here at SBU. The pictures below are of the day we wrapped our gift boxes. These kinds of things make be more proud of them than any great play, well pitched game or homerun they will ever produce on the field. Thank you ladies...I am honored to be your coach.

Kacie and Jen.
Kristin was the leader of the operation...we could not have done it without her.

Softball Field Update...

Thanks to Coach Halladay, the softball infield has been completed. We reinforced the pitching area and batter's boxes with clay bricks and mound clay. It will require less work to keep the field in good playing shape.

We are also adding a new tarp this season which will help keep the field playable longer. The old one seemed to be nesting material for every mouse in the Enchanted Mountains. The first base dugout was also completed. That had not been repaired for years. So...I think we are set for winter.

Pitchers and catchers will start throwing next week. I am looking to get back into the swing of things. Big spring ahead!

GO BONAS!!
